Mitchell is a New York‐based Senior Vice President at Precision where he works with clients facing critical reputation moments. With more than 12 years experience in environments ranging from Capitol Hill to Wall Street, Silicon Valley to Hollywood, he has helped engage global audiences in new conversations about complex issues including conservation, infrastructure and the development of green industries, reimagining public education and transportation, and how health care is accessed and paid for.

Prior to joining Precision, Mitchell was a Senior Director at APCO Worldwide where he lead the development of the firm’s media and entertainment practice while advising iconic business and philanthropic leaders on sustainability, ESG strategies, and purpose communications. Mitchell previously served as co‐lead of the crisis management and strategic communications practice at Sunshine Sachs. He began his career in public relations as part of the financial communications team at Finsbury Glover Herring. He was Deputy Director for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter’s Philadelphia Office where he was responsible for the district’s health care portfolio during passage of the Affordable Care Act.

His clients have ranged from top health institutions including Hospital for Special Surgery, Montefiore Medical Center, Calvary Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, Highmark Health, 1199SEIU, Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), UnitedHealth Group, and EmblemHealth. He has also worked with global disruptors like Tesla, Lyft, and Roku, and cultural and civic leaders like Elon Musk, Laurene Powell Jobs, Meghan Markle and Leonardo DiCaprio on a number of philanthropic and activist‐led coalitions, partnerships and media strategies.

Mitchell holds an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government and a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University.
