Eric Koch has over a decade of experience in high-level communication strategy, political campaigns, crisis communications, and brand management in both the public and private sectors.

At Precision, Eric specializes in crisis communications, messaging, and brand reputation management. He has helped lead influencer and policy communications campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, driven messaging and earned media on successful political campaigns, counseled clients through high-profile crisis situations, and provided strategic guidance to a range of corporations, non-profits, media organizations, educational institutions, and ballot initiatives.

Prior to joining Precision, Eric served as communications director for New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito where he handled communications for her contentious race for Speaker and then as chief government spokesman and senior strategist. While with Speaker Mark-Viverito, Eric created and executed a political and media strategy which elevated her to one of the top Latinx elected officials in the country. In addition, he was the author of two highly-acclaimed State of the City speeches. Before his work with the Speaker, Eric served as a communications consultant at Hiltzik Strategies in New York City. Specializing in crisis communications, he worked with high-level clients in sports, media, entertainment, finance, politics, and philanthropy. Eric also has worked on numerous political, issue, and legislative races throughout the country, and has served as an aide in the United States House of Representatives and the New York State Senate.

In 2014, he was named to the New York Observer’s Political Power 80 list of the most politically powerful people in New York and was named to City & State’s 40 under 40 list.

He holds a BA in political science from The George Washington University.
