Valeria Ojeda-Avitia is a principal on the communications team. Valeria’s background in researching and targeting hard-to-reach and non-traditional audiences informs her approach to supporting communications strategies for a wide range of clients.

At Precision, Valeria has worked with clients such as the Service Employees International Union, developing national and state-focused strategies, op-eds, and events to bolster clients’ media presence.

Before Precision, Valeria worked on President Biden’s campaign in New Mexico. She also worked at PSB Insights as the project lead for the 2020 Census Communications Campaign. In this role, Valeria managed qualitative sessions to develop messaging to resonate with non-white and hard-to-reach audiences.

Valeria graduated from American University, earning a bachelor’s in international studies and a masters of public policy focusing on strategic communication. While at American, Valeria managed the European Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute, a course taught annually in Brussels. In 2017 Valeria also founded Blue Future, an organization aiming to make it easier for young people to get involved in progressive politics. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.
