Managing Partner

Teddy Goff is a co-founder and managing partner at Precision.

Prior to founding Precision, Teddy gained national and international recognition as the digital director for President Obama’s reelection campaign. He led the president’s digital strategy and managed a 250-person nationwide team responsible for the campaign’s entire online presence, from social to mobile to paid advertising. Under Teddy’s leadership, the campaign raised more than $690 million and registered more than a million voters online, built the world’s largest Facebook and Twitter followings, and developed a groundbreaking new roadmap for digital campaigning. TIME Magazine described his work as “redefining the limits of viral politics” and included him on their inaugural list of 30 people under 30 who are changing the world. In 2014, he was honored on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Marketing & Advertising. He is no longer under 30.

At Precision, he has been an adviser to world leaders including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and former Colombian President and Nobel Peace Laureate Juan Manuel Santos; American leaders like Secretary Hillary Clinton, Senator John Hickenlooper, and Governor Jared Polis; prominent progressive groups, labor unions, and Democratic organizations; and many of the world’s largest and most innovative businesses. Precision has been named as best digital agency and best global public affairs agency by the SABRE Awards.

Before joining the 2012 Obama campaign, Teddy served as associate vice president at Blue State Digital. On President Obama’s 2008 campaign, Teddy oversaw all state-level digital campaigns, managing teams in more than 25 battleground states. Afterward, Teddy oversaw the creation and launch of the Obama administration’s new WhiteHouse.gov website as a member of the presidential transition team. In 2014, he was named Chief Digital Officer of the Year by the CDO Club and in 2022, he was honored on Crain’s Notable Advertising, Marketing and PR list. He is a regular public speaker who has been a guest on MSNBC, BBC, and Charlie Rose (there was a guest host that night, he hastens to add). Teddy has appeared at universities and conferences around the world, such as SXSW, CDO Club’s Chief Digital Officer Summit, and Full Circle.

Teddy lives in Manhattan. He is also a partner at Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer and a board member of Run for Something, the American LGBTQ+ Museum, and the New York Public Library.
