Aalok Kanani is a digital marketing and strategy leader with experience across presidential campaigns, government, and global NGOs. 

At Precision, Aalok helps corporate, non-profit, and political clients develop and execute innovative digital campaigns to grow brands, mobilize audiences, and persuade the public. 

Before joining Precision, Aalok was the Chief Digital and Communications Officer at Asia Society, leading global marketing for the institution including Asia Society Policy Institute, Asia Society Museum, and 17 centers across North America, Europe, and Asia. At Asia Society, Aalok led a digital transformation to modernize marketing and communications, launched Asia Society’s first content studio, and expanded the organization’s reach online, in the media, and in person. 

During the 2020 presidential election, Aalok oversaw brand, content, and digital communications for Pete Buttigieg’s primary campaign, helping the longshot Mayor of South Bend win the Iowa Caucuses. He held the same role for Joe Biden’s successful general election campaign. Aalok has also worked as a public information officer for the United Nation’s Ebola response, on the public affairs team at Lyft, and for advising technology startups on marketing, policy, and business development. He began his career in the Obama Administration, serving at the U.S. Department of Education and leading digital strategy for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. 

Aalok has an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and son.
