Elsa Alvarado is a political strategist and communications expert, with public affairs and legislative experience from the Pentagon, State Department, and the campaign trail.

At Precision, Elsa leverages her crisis communications expertise to help her clients navigate both national and international media landscapes. Her speciality lies in crafting strategic messaging, executing media plans, reaching diverse audiences, and preparing clients for public appearances.

Prior to joining Precision, Elsa served as the director of public affairs at Bryson Gillette, a strategic communications firm founded by former President Obama’s spokesperson, Bill Burton. There, she spearheaded numerous award-winning public affairs campaigns for Fortune 100 CEOs, nonprofits, and political clients. Before Bryson Gillette, Elsa held a key role at the Pentagon within the Biden-Harris Administration, serving as the director of strategic communications for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs. Elsa also worked on President Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and the 59th Presidential Inaugural Committee. Her previous work experience includes working for the now First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, the former U.S. Ambassador Laura Dogu, and Mayor of NYC Bill de Blasio.

As the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants, Elsa is deeply committed to serving and empowering the Hispanic community. She serves on the DC Advisory Board for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and maintains a strong partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

Elsa received her Master’s degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China through the Schwarzman Scholars program. She has also attended Middlebury College and Sciences Po. Elsa is a proud New Yorker and now resides in Washington D.C.
