Katey McCutcheon

Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications

Katey McCutcheon is a Senior Vice President at Precision. She is a Democratic communications and public affairs strategist with deep experience advising Fortune 50 companies, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Precision, Katey served at Firehouse Strategies, where she focused on direct advocacy, media relations, strategic communications, and coalition management across industries, including technology, energy, healthcare, and finance. Earlier in her career, she worked at a Washington, D.C.-based communications firm supporting corporate, political, and advocacy clients.

Katey began her career on Capitol Hill, supporting communications efforts for Hakeem Jeffries and leading communications for Joe Manchin. During her six years with Senator Manchin’s team, she helped guide communications strategy through his 2018 reelection campaign, multiple government shutdowns, three Supreme Court confirmation battles, and major national policy debates.

Originally from Long Island, Katey spent her childhood in New York, California, and Texas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Political Science from West Virginia University.
