We’re adding a Webby to our shelf!

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards has named Precision the winner of the Public Service & Activism – Social Video category, which honors videos designed to elevate a cause or provoke action.

The winning video, A Message From Dr. Leana Wen, was produced alongside Planned Parenthood to support the rollout of its incoming president, the first doctor to lead the organization in nearly 50 years. In the video, Dr. Wen speaks to her passion for protecting access to reproductive care, and her own personal history as a patient, volunteer, doctor, and now leader of Planned Parenthood.

This video served as a key component to a larger, successful rollout, showcasing our integrated approach to working with clients. Planned Parenthood was already one of our communications clients who wanted to capitalize on a crucial moment in time, as this change in leadership was concurrently announced both to the public and the organization at large. Leading with video provided a more personal introduction to Dr. Wen for millions of patients, supporters, and staff. We built an integrated campaign — including the video, digital amplification, and rapid response communications — that resulted in coverage on CNNThe ViewNPR and The New York Times.

Viewed millions of times across multiple platforms, this video showcases the excellent work our expanded video team and offerings can do for our clients.

Additionally, in the same category, Precision was listed as an honoree for the social video Helen’s Story. Created in partnership with Families Belong Together, a social campaign developed by The National Domestic Workers Alliance, the goal of this video was to put public pressure on the Trump administration to end family separation. The video highlights the story of Helen Nohemi, a 5-year-old girl from Honduras who was separated from her family for seven weeks. Putting a face and a name to a national issue, Precision produced a powerful video that generated attention from influencers and has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times across platforms.
